Nickel 90 / 10 Sheet has 2 % to 30 % nickel, high oxidation resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance. Some common applications for Cupro Nickel 90 / 10 Coil Sheet include: valves, pump components, fittings, flanges and various other marine hardware components. The inclusion of controlled quantities of iron and manganese also give Cupro Nickel 90 / 10 Sheet an extraordinary resistance to general corrosion and stress cracking, as well as to erosion and impingement due to turbulent water containing air bubbles and silt flowing at high velocities. Cupro Nickel 90 / 10 Coiled Electrode is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater because its electrode potential is adjusted to be neutral with regard to seawater. Cu-Ni 90 / 10 Sheet is not recommended for usage in heavily polluted water containing sewage and industrial wastes. Cu-Ni 90 / 10 Sheet with additions of manganese is important in electrical engineering. Additions of iron significantly improve the resistance of Cu-Ni 90 / 10 Coil Sheet to erosion corrosion in flowing seawater and other aggressive waters.
